 Last week we were invited out to Legoland California to check out the all new Lego Movie World. The new land is so fun and, well, awesome! Since media day we've been posting a lot of videos from our visit, so be sure to check them all out as they are imbedded in this update. You can see more information on Lego Movie World here.  Stage set up for the opening ceremony   Definitely eating here the next time we're at the park       Emmet's Flying Adventure was so much fun      The entire area is so well done   And of course there's a gift shop   I was very close to getting one of these and making it into a new camera bag with dividers, but it wasn't big enough.    After the media event and checking out all of Lego Movie World, I took a lap around the park.  Aquazone is getting some work done.  Always a fun ride  This has changed over the years  This is from 2005.  Deep Sea Adventure was closed due to the ride being so enclosed. Will be interesting to see if it reopens after June 15th.   No visit to Legoland is complete without spending some time in Miniland, USA  The area where Star Wars Miniland was. Will be interesting to see what ends up here.     That's a wrap from Legoland! Pictures by Matthew Nelson Opening Day Pictures You gotta go under the highway to get to Silverwood. This is when any day at Silverwood REALLY begins.  Espresso and Pastry Bar. Good stuff, and they open earlier than anything else at the park. So if you get here early, to avoid a line at bag check, you can still pick up some caffeine and breakfast.  While waiting at the rope drop inside the park, Engine 7 pulled into the station.  To open Stunt Pilot, there was a flyover by a biplane.  This way to Stunt Pilot          The line wasn't outside of the building for too long- it just keeps moving.  While the ride does have 10 single seats per train, this helps when say, there's a group of 7, they can add 3 from the single rider line to have a full train.   Because of how long the train is, the sensations are quite different from front to back. Look how far down the drop row 1 is, while row 10 is still flat up top.  A stunt plane restored and hung upside down over the queue line. Brilliant bit of theming.   It's really cool to watch- and because of how the line goes right under most of the ride, you get to watch it a lot.   Very smooth, very fun ride. A lot of people got off and said "Let's get back in line" right away.   Entrance and Exit Through The Gift Shop  The opening day line in the afternoon  Panic Plunge. If you sit on this side, you get a great overview of Stunt Pilot for a moment.  It was a beautiful day for a ride opening  From over by the log flume.  Corkscrew Pizza. If you didn't get a picture of the corkscrew, did you even go to Silverwood?  From the side. The first drop is 87 degrees.   The guy in the back row looks like he might be rethinking his decision to ride.     Riders Seem To Really Enjoy This Ride. I did. Rode 4 times opening day, each time seemed better. It was really hauling late afternoon.  Hairtime!   Favorite photo of the day. This shot pretty much shows the gamut of rider reactions.  The Barn  You "Fly" through three air race rings as you ride  Not the shot I REALLY wanted. But you can see Tremors and Stunt Pilot trains in one frame here. It went down right before we were going to board. Didn't see it open the rest of the day. Oh well, we'll be back.  Yesterday Matt found himself back in a familiar place, Silverwood, to get another look at Stunt Pilot. With some HUGE thanks to Carter and Stephanie from Silverwood, this time we didn't just get pics from outside the park, but were let behind the fence for a great tour of what is going to be an amazing ride! Let's head in! Written by Matthew Nelson  On the road again. 24 hours ago this was all snow. Springtime in Idaho!  Hello again Silverwood!  Last week we were out here  This week we're in here!!  This thing is beautiful  Any park that says they don't have room for a coaster needs to see this ride.  The queue is all under the ride area  Stunt Pilot will have the moving walkway system, not air gates    Stunt Pilot is right on top of the walkway  We walked up on the lift of log flume to get some pics  Hey Fred!   For all you coaster station nerds. You know who you are.  Hard at work on Stunt Pilot!   We got to go to the paint shop to see the Pitts Special plane that will be part of the theming     A whole bunch of Tremors track is missing at the moment   They're doing so much work on tremors     Timber Terror got a bunch of new wood on the helix - hard to get a pic, but you can see shiny new wood  Got to see Corkscrew's first test run of the season  Hi Knott's!!
