Palindrome at Cotaland in Austin, Texas to feature forward & backwards travel and one-of-a-kind elements.
STEVENSVILLE, MD – Ride Entertainment, the Gold Standard in the attractions industry for safety, sales and support, is excited to announce Palindrome, a one-of-a-kind Gerstlauer Infinity roller coaster for Cotaland in Austin, Texas. The ride is expected to debut in late 2022.

LEGOLAND CALIFORNIA RESORT AND FERRARI ANNOUNCE WORLD PREMIERE OF NEW INTERACTIVE ATTRACTION

LEGOLAND® CALIFORNIA RESORT AND FERRARI ANNOUNCE WORLD PREMIERE OF NEW INTERACTIVE ATTRACTION BUILT ON KIDS' CREATIVITY!

Build and Race Allows Kids to Build, Test and Race, Opening Spring 2022!
Picture
CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 9, 2021) – LEGOLAND® Parks, a global leader in family entertainment, and Ferrari, the world’s most recognizable luxury sports cars brand, announced the world’s first LEGO® Ferrari “Build and Race” interactive attraction is coming to LEGOLAND® California Resort in spring of 2022. Featuring a life-size Ferrari F40 model developed by the LEGO® Group, Build and Race puts guests in the driver’s seat as they make their way through the “garage” to the “racetrack” using their creativity and imagination to build, test and race their own LEGO Ferrari.

“Ferrari is renowned for manufacturing cars unique in terms of performance, innovation and design, setting the standard for luxury and excellence within the automotive world. We have millions of young guests who can be inspired from this to create their own unique cars in this one-of-a-kind testing and racing facility,” said LEGOLAND California Resort President Kurt Stocks.

“We are excited to build upon our existing relationship with the LEGO Group by combining our leading brands within this transformative entertainment attraction. The Build and Race experience has been designed to engage with both Ferrari and LEGO lovers of all ages, aligning with Ferrari’s strategy to reach out to its younger fans,” said Director of Location Based Entertainment & Esports for Ferrari Annabel Rochfort.
Build and Race features three zones designed to be interactive and inspiring. A LEGO pit crewmember will greet guests as they enter the attraction, sharing Ferrari fun facts, race history, and showcasing themed LEGO race gear and awards. Once inside the garage, guests have the opportunity to sit in a life-size Ferrari F40 model developed by the LEGO Group and have their photo taken. The journey continues as guests get to tap into their creativity and build their own LEGO Ferrari car to race at one of three racetracks which include the test zone, steering test track and speed test track. Each track offers guests different obstacles, challenges and a chance to clock in the fastest time. A DUPLO® build zone offers younger guests the chance to drive their imagination and design their own creation out of bigger bricks as well! LEGO minifigure mechanics and crew members will prompt build inspirations throughout the entire experience.

Finally, once guests have customized their vehicles, raced them through the obstacles and heard the engines roar, they will be able to create a custom digital Ferrari race car. Guests can digitally scan their vehicle and further customize their Ferrari along with their minifigure racing driver. Once complete, the cars are digitally projected on a LEGO racetrack based on Pista di Fiorano (a private racetrack owned by Ferrari mainly for development and testing purposes) and guests can compete with other cars digitally for the fastest race lap!

Build and Race will be included in the price of admission to LEGOLAND California Resort. For LEGOLAND California Resort ticket prices, operating schedule and additional information, visit www.LEGOLAND.com or call 760-918-LEGO (5346).

Review and Pictures of Scarywood 2021 at Silverwood Theme Park

Last week Matt made his way out to Scarywood for the opening night of their 2021 event! We have lots of pictures to get to in this one so we'll get right to it!

Scarywood Review:

Of the mazes, as always, Blood Bayou is the best. Imagine Willoughby's mixed with Voodoo from Knott's Haunt. It's a big long maze with a lot of talent and a lot of scares.

Planet Zombie is my second favorite. It's a zombie maze where you're supposed to get to a safety checkpoint without getting bit. Good long maze with some really nicely done outdoor sections. It feels like what the Walking Dead attraction should have been like. Occasionally claustrophobic, and feeling like you really need to get through.

Pharaoh's Curse is cool - it definitely improved with its new location. Has one of the best horrific gags anywhere. The priests tear the heart out of a writhing screaming person in a Scarywood hoodie.

Dr. Delirium's 3D Rockhouse is a fun, loud weird mashup of everything unlicensed. Bonus points for playing KMFDM music.

Let's get to the pics!

Don't mess with anybody, or anything.

This is the best maze of the event- good long, loaded with cool stuff, and monsters galore.

Tilt A Whirl in the Rain
Picture
Scary Dolls. My second favorite scare zone- they do a great job standing in the dark- there's not a lot of light around other than the dollhouse facade.

Best tagline and rename of a food location- Plagued Pizza

The ride WAS running for the event, until the rain came.

The clowns seemed to like the rain. Clown Town is the biggest, most populated scare zone. I love it
Picture
It was still running in the rain.
Picture
Normally wouldn't be able to take this photo- because I'm standing in the gravel beside the ride's queue. So, while it sucks to not be able to ride this beauty until next year, I can see it while walking to and from the 3D maze.
Picture
This is a fun maze, with entertaining videos setting up the whole thing while you wait out front. There was a lot of excellent talent in here last night, and it's a good long maze with inside and outside sections.
Picture
I started with the stuff to the left- what would normally be the dry park, but the rain came and kinda changed that.
Picture
This is another part of the pathway you can't avoid. They were doing a good job of ganging up on people, too.
Picture
It was VERY dark by Tremors
Picture
Chucky was waiting for people to head out of Clowntown and in to the dark area he was lurking in.

Fog and rain It made the whole event feel surreal
