The unofficial kick-off of the Halloween Season was last weekend, filled with amazing panels, mini haunts, aisles and aisles of amazing merchandise, and an all around fantastic time seeing our extended Halloween family. Let's head right in, we've got a lot to show you!  Welcome back to Midsummer Scream  Shaq is glad you're here  Speaking of Shaq, Shaqtoberfest is back and there WILL be a maze on the Queen Mary this year!  Can't wait to see the continuing story of Midnight Falls at LA Haunted Hayride.  Who's ready for the 50th Anniversary of Knott's Berry Farm? They'll be announcing the full line-up on August 24th.  Added this to my Midsummer Scream t-shirt collection. Who else has them all? Some truly great merchandise on the show floor.
 A great play on the "Final Girl/Final Guy" horror trope.  I remembered to bring my Wild Bills cup from last year, and had more sugar in 2 days than I've had all year. LOL! Fright Fest Fright Fest was there to celebrate 30 years, and had what was probably the biggest announcement of the entire convention.
Hall of Shadows
  Hall of Shadows is, IMO, the heart of Midsummer Scream. There is simply nothing else like it.
 A new Jack-O-Lantern event is coming, the other one isn't come back apparently.   So many fun mini haunts. This one from the Dreich Society.  Sid and Chucky stole the Pizza Planet truck      We loved Castle Dark last year and can't wait to go back.  Had to take some time to see Truth or Scare with our friend Barry.  Knott's Scary Farm The Knott's 50th Panel was short on announcements, but big on fun with a killer merchandise reveal.  The panel started off with a great Scary Farm history lesson with Ted Dougherty.  There was also a rather entertaining merchandise reveal with Karl Busche. Definitely worth your time to watch.  This thing is going to sell out for sure.   Our Saturday night ended with a Midsummer Scream Slumber Party.    Day two started off with me at Universal Hollywood, and Gabe thinking I couldn't make it before the event open. Guess who won. =)
 So much amazing cosplay!  Absolutely love this Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood The last and biggest panel of the event was for Halloween Horror Nights!  An all new house was announced. Monstruos: The Monsters of Latin America. John Murdy went through the house in detail, be sure to check out the video below.  They also announced the accompanying scare zone, with some amazing "Latin American monster movie" posters. I kind of wish they were real.  Until next year Midsummer Scream! We already can't wait!
