In just it's 3rd year, Midsummer Scream has taken it's place as one of the most organized, fun, stress free and amazing conventions of the year. Last weekend we were on-hand all weekend to check out all of the amazing panels, the Hall of Shadows and just a fun time with all our haunted friends.
Let's head into the fog ...

Welcome to Midsummer Scream 2018!!!
First up was the Knott's Scary Farm panel where they talked a lot about their process and announced an all new scare zone Forsaken Lake
The Hall of Shadows was bigger and better than ever
We can't wait to check out these full events in October!!
No Midsummer Scream would be complete without a visit to the Black Cat Lounge
Six Flags Panel where the monsters came out to play
Girls, Girls, Girls!!!
Queen Mary Dark Harbor Panel is always one of the highlights of the weekend
Nice photo-bomb Big Mike!!
An all new panel this year from Warner Brothers and their Horror Made Here event
The excitement for this event is palpable, the room was very full for a first year panel
We also had a chance to talk with Jon Braver from Delusion
The last panel of Midsummer Scream was a unification of Halloween Horror Nights on both coasts. No big announcements, but the 90 minute chat was amazing!!
Had a great time talking with John, Chris and Michael where we talked about non-IP mazes, non-existent fights and kick ass shoes.
A behind the scenes look at how the magic happens.
Thanks Midsummer Scream for another amazing year, already counting down the days until next year.
Last week Scott and his wife headed out to The Queen Mary to experience Chill 2017. The event looks to have undergone some more changes for 2017 but one constant is the holiday cheer.
Let's check it out

Welcome to Chill 2017!
Lots of lights to be seen around the ship
And of course Ice Skating
Welcome to the North Pole
Ice Cube? =)
Lots of places to explore
Tubing is awesome!!
It wouldn't be a Queen Mary event without a bar
Welcome to Germany
Let's head over to Switzerland
Lots of cool lights
Sup weird looking tree things
We hope you enjoyed this look at holiday fun at The Queen Mary.

Here we are Park Journey Readers, right in the middle of Halloween Season 2017. It's already been 4 weekends of scary fun for us and it's still only October 6. How crazy is that.
Today we have our update from one of our favorite events of the season, Dark Harbor at Queen Mary

Welcome to Dark Harbor 2017 where the chef is waiting for you ...
Shots, Shots, Shots, Shots, Shots!!
This years cast of demented characters
After a quick stop at the VIP Lounge it was time to start checking out the mazes. First up was Soulmate
Amazing character just as you walk in
Dude got me
We then moved over to B340 and I have to say, this was probably the best year for this maze yet. Incredibly fun and scary.
These "walls" creeped me out
"Go this way, I promise you'll be ok"
Lullaby ... always a favorite
Probably the favorite picture I took all night (Gregg)
Being on the ship is always creepy enough
Last up was the all new maze, Feast
Some behind the scenes, glamorous no? =)
I'm starting to think we shouldn't eat here
INTO THE OVEN!!
Seriously, into the oven!!
Some great views of Deadrise
The swings were back!!
Another one of our favorites
They moved this out of the come this year (in fact, no mazes were in the dome) and combined some of the sideshow acts
Yes, we are worthy!!
Of course we had to get a drink!!
I promise, I hadn't had a drink prior to this ... lol.
I'm about to get scurred ..
Our favorite monsters at the exit of Deadrise
Last maze of the night was Intrepid
This was kind of a mishmash of intrepid and voodoo ... it had some decent scares although the theme kind of got lost somewhere.
This was an awesome room
As sharp drop and a sudden stop ...
Thank you Dark Harbor for another amazing year!!
Be sure to check out Dark Harbor 2017. One tip, be sure to research parking prior to going.
