 Today we're back in Florida with another great update from Walt Disney World. Today we're joining Renée as she runs 19.3 miles through the parks of Walt Disney World with some Storm Troopers, Droids and even Matt. Written by Renée Girard The Star Wars half marathon weekend kicked off at WDW today! Tomorrow and Sunday we'll be journeying to the Dark Side.  While at the Star Wars Half expo, be sure to stop by the Cantina. You can get a Dole Whip in a Chewbacca stein!   I don't think I've ever seen this much as far as snacks and drinks at a RunDisney expo.   think this is my favorite shirt at the Star Wars Half expo.  We'll be up early the next 2 days for the Dark Side Challenge. Good luck to all running, and stay hydrated!   In a corral far, far away... awaiting the start of the Star Wars 10k. Looking forward to the new course!   Star Wars themed costumes are always popular among the runners. I've already spotted a few Matts this morning.  See you in 6.2 miles!  Storm troopers and Spaceship Earth! This is the race you're looking for.  The Star Wars 10k runners approaching the finish line at Epcot.  Finished! One race down, one more to go.  I don't think I've ever seen wait times posted for the characters. Great to see this addition!  We're back for another early morning run. It's time for the Star Wars Half Marathon!  The first runners are on their way! May The Force be with us all to conquer the Dark Side Challenge  I always look forward to seeing the creative Star Wars costumes and shirts along the course. Guess sometimes you never know what people are going to enjoy.  Running through Disney's Hollywood Studios. What's up DCA? =)  Finish line and medals at Epcot! Related Updates:  Today we've got a fun update from Disney's Animal Kingdom and the Earth Day Celebration (and 19th Birthday of the park). Have you ever wanted to see DAK through the eyes of a shark cut-out? Well, you're in luck!!! Written by Renée Girard Happy 19th birthday, and Earth Day to Disney's Animal Kingdom!  There are several Party for the Planet stops around DAK for Earth Day . Here you can choose an animal and have fun with photos!    We picked the shark, let's give this a try!  There is also an Earth Day cupcake that you can find at a few locations today, including Starbucks.   That's quite a large selfie stick, and they're all the way in the back of the park! Expedition Everest.  Dinosaur.   Another Party for the Planet stop in Dino Land.  Some Earth Day inspired products being sold around the park.  Highly recommend going for a walk through the Tree of Life Garden for some amazing up close views of the incredible detail on it!
