Today we're back at Hong Kong Disneyland with a look at their amazing Tomorrowland. If you missed any of our previous HKDL updates be sure to check them out. Welcome to Hong Kong Disneyland, Main Street USA and Iron Man Experience. Thanks again to Inside Universal for the great pictures. Look at all that room for people to walk around!! =) We'll start off with Autopia which looks a bit different right now due to the construction of the Iron Man Experience The Autopia looks great!! Texting and Driving ... not just a problem in the USA Annoyed Cast Members ... also not just a problem in the USA ... =) Some great on-ride pictures of the Autopia. Click any of the pictures below for a larger version. Space Mountain!!! Love the spires on the top. Space Mountain is a Roller Coaster Type Ride ... The station looks great, but seems a bit smaller to me. Maybe just the lighting? Oh, they have Stitch Encounter as well ... To Infinity and Beyond!! (interesting that it says inspired by Toy Story 2 ... can't remember if the Disneyland version says this) Looks pretty much identical to the version in Anaheim Guns falling out of their holsters ... not just a problem in the USA ... =) We hope you enjoyed this look at the awesome looking Tomorrowland at Hong Kong Disneyland. Be sure to let us know what update you'd like to see next in the comments below (we''re having issues with our poll service). Fantasyland - Mystic Point - Grizzly Gulch - Toy Story Land - Adventureland - Paint The Night - Frozen Village The crack Park Journey Team, well, Chris found something quite awesome out in the interwebs today, blueprints of the Star Wars Land DHS expansion plans. As you'll see below, the expansion isn't simply going into the existing park as many rumors have had it but actually going into a park expansion. So now lets look at the satellite image of the park, it's clear to see where this is going. And finally, the blueprints overlaid with the satellite image of the park done by Chris. This really does leave a lot of room for future expansion of Star Wars at Disney's Hollywood Studios (or whatever they end up calling it). So what do you think? Do you like this idea of not taking all of the existing land in the park and instead expanding the boundaries? Be sure to share!!!! Welcome to our second update from Hong Kong Disneyland. As voted on by you all in our first update it's time to take a look at Main Street. We'll take a walk up to the hub and a look at Sleeping Beauty Castle. And then it's once again time for you to vote on which way you'd like us to go into next with another poll. Let's actually head into the park this week. =) Welcome to Hong Kong Disneyland!! The first family of the day. Absolutely love this tradition. Main Street Station ... You know you are in for a magical time when you see this sign ... Opera house ... A look up at the Main Street Station ... A look down main street. If it wasn't for the bricks, the lack of horse drawn tracks and the throngs of people you'd almost think you were at Disneyland in California. =) A great morning at Disneyland Attractions and wait times Main Street Trashcans ... Bakery and Tsum Tsum At the middle of Main St Let's head up to the hub and take in some music from the Disneyland Band Hey, that castle looks familiar The hub Love that you can get pictures without tons of people in the way here Let's take a look at nighttime in the hub ... Great lighting effects on the castle They wisely left some trees out of the hub to give unobstructed views of Fireworks shows Main St Windows for Michael Eisner and Bob Iger. Say what you will about Eisner, but this is a very well deserved honor. Fire Dept ... We end our look at Main Street with one last look at the Main Street Disneyland Railroad Station. So which update would you like to see next? Vote below and let us know. Thanks again to Inside Universal for these amazing pictures, we hope you are all enjoying a look at this beautiful looking park. |
