We have another Walt Disney World update for you today, this time a few pictures from Disney's Animal Kingdom's new Avatar land and the new home for Festival of the Lion King.
We think these are some of the first construction pictures of Avatar to be posted online, at least the first we've seen. Thanks again to Chris for taking time out of his family vacation to send us the following pictures.
Yellow tape always means "something".
I'm sure you've all seen these, but if not, here is the Disney concept art for Avatar.
James Cameron, Bob Iger and Joe Rohde looking at one of the models for Avatar.
The groundbreaking ceremony that was held a few months ago.
And a look at the new home for Festival of the Lion King.
We hope to have some more pictures in the next few days and we'll update. Please Share!!!!
Today we have a special treat as we take a look at the almost completed Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Walt Disney World's Magic Kingdom.
We are hearing reports that Cast Member training has begun but unfortunately no word on when any soft openings may occur.
The pictures below illustrate why it's taken so long for this attraction to be completed. The attention to detail is simply amazing and this is only what we can see so far.
It really does look like something out of the classic movie.
This picture illustrates what makes Disney, well, Disney.
The lift hill. Looks like one of the Disney photographers was getting some shots. It was a beautiful day for it.
Thanks to Chris for taking these pictures while he's on his family vacation. We'll hopefully have some more WDW pictures for you soon but first and foremost Chris will be enjoying his much deserved family vacation.
