It's time for one of our very rare Disneyland updates. Typically when we go to Disneyland we aren't there for updates, just to enjoy our day. There are so many Disneyland Blogs/Vlogs out there most of our Disneyland updates get lost. So we reserve them for only a couple of times per year. Here is one of them. Enjoy!! =)
Welcome to the Happiest Place on Earth
They had a special flag retreat ceremony for Memorial Day, more on that below.
It seemed everybody was heading for Splash Mountain, we were not, we decided to rope drop Rise of the Resistance, something we don't typically do.
In fact, it's so rare that we went the completely wrong way through Critter Country and didn't realize the line started way back here. Oops.
Still, it was only about a 45 minute wait (vs the posted 85) so no problem.
Also rode Indy for the first time since the refurbishment, so great!
Disappointed the "news of the world" stuff didn't come back. Would be great if Disney would put it online or something.
Over near It's a Small World, the Live Action Little Mermaid photo up is available. It was quite popular when we walked by later.
Our first time in Toontown since all of the walls came down. We love it. Still too many kids. =)
We also rode Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway. We love this ride SO much.
Love all of the little jokes in the queue.
I'm not usually one for conspiracy's, but when a posted 50 minute wait is only 15 minutes, there may be something to the Lightning Lane one.
Some Pride merchandise has also shown up in both parks. Love the collection this year.
A new Little Mermaid Spirit Jersey
And this awesome shirt! I will definitely be keeping an eye out for this in the outlet, I can't imagine it's that popular but I think I need it.
Also took a final ride on Splash Mountain.
I've never been the biggest fan of this attraction and always found it overrated. I got yelled at for saying that yesterday. I also think other attractions are overrated.
But I did enjoy my last ride. Video and pictures of my last ride are below.
Still wondering what's going to happen with Critter Country. With Tiana's restaurant being on the other side of Haunted Mansion, and the entrance to Splash Mountain being a couple of football fields away, well, we'll see.
We headed over to DCA for some drinks and snacks in the afternoon.
The watermelon margarita was very tasty.
We got Steppenwolf for I think the first time, and had a great group in our lift!
Is this new, or am I just not that perceptive? (probably the latter)
Back at Disneyland, we caught the end of the Flag Retreat.
Which included some low level fireworks.
We had planned on staying later in the evening, but while DCA was pleasantly absent of crowds, in the few hours we left Disneyland, the park just got swamped. So we decided to head out after doing some shopping.
As of right now we have plans to be back at the park for the first day of Rogers: The Musical. So we may actually have two Disneyland updates in a month. That's gonna be some kind of record for us. =) ​We hope you enjoyed the update! Have a great week!

10/11/2022 Halloween Time 2022 at Disneyland ResortHappy HalloweenTime everybody, we have our long anticipated (not really) update from our Disneyland visit last month. And when I say last month, I truly mean it. We visited Disneyland the opening weekend of Knott's Scary Farm, and just, well, we're not a Disneyland update site and it just kind of didn't get posted until I was going through pictures on my phone yesterday and said to myself "oh yeah, we have Disneyland Halloween pics". We leave for vacation tomorrow so it was either today or never, so here you go. Our original plan was to do 1 morning at Disneyland and then a full day/evening at DCA and Disneyland, unfortunately we were exhausted and didn't stick around for nighttime stuff. But we still have lots of great stuff to show you.  If I remember correctly, this was a super hot weekend  Always great to see live music on Main Street, USA  Of course this was our priority for the day    Jack sure did wreck the halls this year. Always a fun time!   We also hadn't done Pirates since it's most recent refurbishment. It's a refurb, nothing really noticeable from what we could tell. Still my favorite Disneyland attraction.
  Single Rider on Splash Mtn FTW!!!  Donald is my favorite Disney character, so you know I had to get this!  Donald and I then decided to have some fun around the park!  Galaxy's Donald!  Millennium Donald!  It's a Small Donald!  The Three ... oh, wait. =)  We had a super fun time, Donald and me that is, but it was time to take a nap before going back to Scary Farm.  The next morning we started our day at Disney California Adventure   Construction stuff  Ooooh, Aaaaah  If you're not watching She-Hulk you're really missing out  Who else thinks they should just do Monsters After Dark all day during HalloweenTime?   Our favorite silly ride!  Neither of us had ever noticed this before. LOL!  Luigi makes us laugh   We broke down on Monsters, added to a long list of Disney rides we've gotten evacuated from.  Sadly we weren't any further in the ride  A Slo-Brew CaliSqueeze while in the single rider line for Racers (like a boss)  Who else thinks this should just here permanently? And add a Coco dark ride too!   The decorations are spectacular   I think we did Philharmagic twice while waiting to do Monsters After Dark at 3:00  Now the best tower, I don't make the rules.  Before we left I had to get a pic in Toady with my Mr. Toad shirt! We'll have a lot of fun stuff for you over the next week and a half or so. We'll be doing some Toronto stuff on Thursday and Canada's Wonderland Haunt on Friday. Next week we get back to Universal Orlando Resort for the first time since 2006 (seriously) and our first ever visit to HHN Orlando (after at least 4 cancelled trips). And then next Saturday we have a day at Epcot, our first visit there since 2007 (yes, seriously). Stay tuned! - Gregg Related Videos

Last week while down in OC for Scary Farm, we spent the morning/early afternoon at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure. Our goal was to of course see this years version of Haunted Mansion Holiday, but also finally experience the updated Jungle Cruise (somehow we missed it on our last trip) and see about getting our first ride on Monsters after Dark! Happy to say we were successful on all 3! Written by Gregg Condon  Welcome back to Disneyland!  We're ready for some fun!   Love the Halloween decorations!  We finally got to see the Jungle Cruise udpates! And we loved them! Also had an amazing skipper!
 Time for Haunted Mansion Holiday!    Can't believe it's already been 20 years! I still have my 2001 shirt, which I wear only once a year.     Always one of the favorite things to check out!  We got stopped in the graveyard so got a few good pics!   Time to join the resistance!  A wow moment each and every time  Backside of Walt and Mickey
 It's 1:00pm, time to head over to DCA! The 1:00 thing is so arbitrary, hope they change that soon.

 After our snack we wanted to see what time Monsters After Dark started and if we had time to ride before heading to Scary Farm!
 We happened to catch it just as they started letting the line in and waited about 10 minutes! And it was AWESOME! This may be our favorite version of this attraction.  It also happened to be Gay Days, moved from it's traditional first weekend in October.  We had a great few hours at Disneyland, it's so great to be able to drop in again! Thanks for reading! We'll be back at Disneyland in a few weeks for a multi-day visit (a make up from our cancelled Florida trip) and will be checking out all of the nighttime Halloween magic at both parks!
