Last week was the Dine Out for Orlando United event and restaurants all over Orlando and the surrounding area were giving a portion (or in some cases ALL) of their sales to Orlando United. If you'd like to donate to the One Orlando Fund you can still do so (just click the link above). We'll also take a look around Disney Springs and the new Coca Cola Store that opened a few days later. Written by Renée Girard Click any of the pictures below for a larger version Dining at Disney Springs tonight at @MorimotoAsia Street Food where 100% of tonight's sales go to #OrlandoUnited Sales from draft beers at @RaglanRoadPub at #DisneySprings go to #OrlandoUnited tonight so of course we're here! Erin McKenna's Bakery at #DisneySprings also sells an #OrlandoStrong donut. #OrlandoUnited @embakeryfl Some progress and a new structure up around the Planet Hollywood Observatory at #DisneySprings The Disney Springs Coca-Cola store is 3 floors and has a great design that you see immediately upon entering. I really liked the unique collectible items handmade in Kenya at the #DisneySprings Coca-Cola store. You can have a Coca-Cola themed kitchen if you want, thanks to items on the 2nd floor at #DisneySprings store. Of course you can get your own Coca-Cola Orlando glassware too. There are all sorts of varieties of Coke bottles lining the shelves. There are limited edition Orlando Coca-Cola grand opening bottles, each numbered through 500. On the third floor of the Coca-Cola store is the rooftop bar, which was busy but manageable. You can get a pretty good view over the buildings at #DisneySprings from the roof of the Coca-Cola store. Some cool landscaping on top of the Coca-Cola store facing the parking garage You can also get a glimpse of the construction going on at Planet Hollywood The most popular item at the Coca-Cola bar is the Tastes of the World international tray. We only wanted the Smart Watermelon from China, and they were kind enough to give it to us! Miss this drink at Epcot Also tried BB Wolf's Sausage Co, and was pleasantly surprised by the vegetarian Italian sausage. Thanks again to Renée for another amazing update from Orlando and for being such awesome supporters of the local area. Related Updates: Last week Renée headed out to EPCOT to check out the all new "Soarin' around the world" and we've got some great pics to share. She also got to meet Anna and Elsa and check out the new Frozen meet and greet. If that wasn't enough, we'll take a look at the Shanghai Disneyland preview center in the China pavilion. Be sure to check out the pics below. Written by Renée Girard Click any of the pictures below for a larger version Today we are back at Epcot to soar around the world Tasty Soarin' themed desserts at Sunshine Seasons bakery in The Land. New Soarin' Around the World merchandise at the kiosk outside of the ride Only a 40 minute standby wait for Soarin' at an hour before park closing on opening weekend. New preshow video at Soarin', with destinations all over the world. Yes, he's back! Quick review: Soarin Around the World is gorgeous! Makes me want to travel and visit all the amazing sights shown. It's a beautiful night around the World Showcase at Epcot! Only a 5 minute wait to meet Anna & Elsa at their new location in Norway at Epcot. The queue for Anna & Elsa's meet and greet is fantastic and perfectly themed. This nod to Maelstrom in the queue at Norway's Anna & Elsa house. I wasn't expecting to have my photo taken tonight so I look awful but here's Anna & Elsa in their new home at Epcot. Editors Note: Renée is insane if she thinks those icky princesses look better than her. =) Of course you exit into a Frozen gift shop after meeting them Over in China, they have the new Shanghai Disney Resort exhibit now open. Frozen themed treats at the bakery in Norway at Epcot. IllumiNations is always the perfect ending to a day at Epcot. Thanks again to Renée for yet another amazing update from Florida. We know that most everybody else is running their "Frozen Ever After" updates today, but we like to be just a little different. =) Related Updates: Last week Renée and Morgan headed out to Disney's Hollywood Studios to check out the all new Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show. Below are some great pictures and thoughts on the show. We'll have more from Florida this week including EPCOT and opening day of Cobra's Curse at Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Written by Renée Girard Just arrived at Disney's Hollywood Studios for the first night of Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks! It's a nice night to ride Tower of Terror, which seems to be the new DHS park icon. If you ask nicely, Shanghai Disney buttons are still available at guest relations. #ThanksShanghai Good planning and proper use of FP+ gets you on both TOT and Toy Story Mania in less than an hour. Not my best, but I almost always manage to get the highest score in the car on TSMM. It's a full house for the new Star Wars fireworks at DHS. Starting in around 15 minutes! 5 minutes to go! We might have some trees in the way but you needed to get here early tonight to score a good spot. New DHS Star Wars fireworks rely heavily on projections on the theatre, look awesome but only if you can see them. Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular is a huge hit! We'll definitely be back again soon! May the Force be with you. Thanks again to Renée and Morgan for sending us these great pics. We can't wait to see more from this new show. Related Updates: |
