Hey there readers, Renee was back out at Walt Disney World today for the CM preview of Disney's Hollywood Studios. We should point out, this is a Cast Member preview. So your experience at the parks may not match what you see in the pictures below. But I have to be honest, for the first time in almost 6 years of this website, I'm conflicted about posting a park update, and even if it's socially responsible at this point to do so. I'm 3000 miles away, our parks in CA won't be opening any time soon, and even if they did, I don't think I'd be visiting any of them as soon as they open. Just know, you may not see too many in-park updates from us until things start getting a bit better. We are definitely conflicted. - Gregg Written by Renée Girard Good morning from Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Lines are long for temperature check but moving quickly. Welcome back! Everyone else must be headed to Batuu. I’ve never seen Toy Story land this empty! Social distancing plexiglass at Droid Depot. Chewie, we’re home. Lunch at Docking Bay 7. Like all restaurants, your mobile order has to be ready before entering the building. 20 minute wait posted for Smuggler’s Run. Some sections of the queue have caution tape instead of plexiglass. The preshow is running. Socially distanced, of course. No cards are given out for flight positions and you can’t freely wander while waiting to board. No one taking photos at the table today. You then are verbally told your position and each party has their own ship. Socially distant storm troopers. Not sure if this will continue to be the procedure, but we made an in person reservation for Oga’s Cantina this morning and was given a return time a few hours later, which we’re currently in line for. Actually got a table at Oga’s for the first time ever. And there’s so much space! This is wonderful. The server also reminded us that masks need to remain on till drinks arrive. Just enjoying some refreshing Toniray wine at Oga’s. Mickey! I kinda love seeing him cruising around Studios in a car. Rise up! Currently in line for Rise of the Resistance, with a 90 minute wait posted. People are respectful and hopefully it’ll move quickly. RotR went down for quite some time so we bailed and hopped over to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Both RotR and MMRR have the longest wait times in the park. MMRR had some down time for cleaning, which is what we like to see! No preshow and more plexiglass at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. This ride is the cutest! There she is! Tower of Terror is walk on with no preshow running and only one side open. Still one of the best rides! Empty Rock N Roller Coaster, no preshow, and plexiglass for days. Back on Batuu to attempt RotR again. The queue for Rise of the Resistance takes you indoors for a bit and then you’re next to the entrance of Muppet-Vision 3D! So this is the extended queue for Rise of the Resistance. I can’t wait to check out this new Star Wars ride. Sadly Rise of the Resistance went down, so they finally dumped the queue and we didn’t get to ride. It was still great to spend some time at DHS today, and I wish them a safe and successful reopening this week. Related Videos

Today we have a rather large update from Disneyland and Disney California Adventure for you to feast your eyes on. During our visit last weekend we were kind of all over the place, which was a good thing. So this update has a bit of construction stuff, some Galaxy's Edge stuff, and some food and wine stuff (which we WILL get back to soon). Enjoy! Written by Gregg Condon Me: My kids are grown, I avoided ever getting a mini van! Disneyland: Hold our Moof Juice. Our first stop in the morning was to get the Indy pop. I have to be 100% honest, I didn't realize it was a big one. When we walked into Wunderland Gallery in Downtown Disney to get ours I was shocked, as you can see below. Before taking Indy back to the car for the day, had to take him around the park a bit. After getting our Rise boarding group (18 FTW) I had to actually leave to run an errand. We made it to Rise with 5 minutes to spare. I also had to try out my new iPhone 11 Pro, rather impressed with the results. Check out a Rise of the Resistance Slide Show below. Video of the amazing ROTR Pre-Show and "transport" Jake and I also had some fun and did a reverse POV The extensive rehab for The Haunted Mansion is continuing Apparently some of these scrims have come down since Saturday Over at DCA we took a quick look at the Food and Wine festival. Didn't try any treats, but we'll be back. Avengers Campus construction is continuing as well. As well as the admin building next to Luigi's. They're still claiming "Summer" for this to open. We'll see. There was some cone'struction going on in Cars Land Back over at Disneyland, couldn't remember if we had a shot of this during our last update And there was this thing. If you've followed our site for any length of time you'll know we are huge fans of single rider lines. That said, not sure it really works for Star Tours. I think our wait was pretty much the same as the stand-by line. No lie, I don't think I'd ridden "regular" Space Mountain since 2012. So yay!! Wonder if they'll bring back the Dick Dale soundtrack for 90's night? That would be worth the admission alone. After saying goodbye to Jake (he had woof'ers to take care of) I went and did some other single rider things. Like Indy!! Look into my eyes Mark Twain ... Maaaaark Twaaaiiiin It was a beautiful late afternoon, so decided to do a POV of the Mark Twain Boop Sunset over Galaxy's Edge Did single rider on the Falcon. I had only done this once before, as a pilot. I will say, there is definitely a difference between being a pilot and an engineer. The ride itself was still a ton of fun, more a difference in the movement of the cockpit. Another slideshow, because why not. :) What a piece of junk There was some kind of lightsaber meet in Galaxy's Edge. This was super cool. These photos aren't watermarked so if you participated and want to use any of them, feel free to do so. :) I had never noticed all of the hidden mickey's before Over in Fantasyland, some work going on with the Carousel and Snow White It's going to look amazing when it's done Goodnight sweet Disneyland. We'll be back soon!! Related Videos

Happy Wednesday all!! Hope you're all having a great week so far. We're still on that post Rise of the Resistance high, but we did a lot more at Disneyland last weekend and thought we should share it with you. This update includes some new experiences we got to try during our visit and a look at this years Lunar new Year at Disney California Adventure. Written by Gregg Condon We always love being at Disneyland during sunrise, something magical about it. Obviously our main goal for the day was to experience Rise of the Resistance, which we did! Be sure to check out our tips for experiencing Rise of the Resistance that we posted the other day. While waiting for our ride time, we got to experience some classic attractions, but not this one. It was pretty chilly. We wrecked the halls with Jack one last time. Looking forward to OG Haunted Mansion being back soon. Yo. Ho. We actually had an interesting experience on Pirates. As we were launching the CM's at the dock made the announcement that the ride was shutting down. We went through the ride, every boat behind us was empty. We didn't stop once, not even at the final lift. When we got back to the entrance of the ride, it was completely empty. We have zero idea what was going on, but the ride was back open when we passed by later in the day. We also spent some time in Batuu as our ride time for ROTR got closer. We tried our first Breakfast Ronto Wrap. It was yummy. We also tried this thing, it was, ok. I got to hang out with Chewie!! We didn't see R2D2 unfortunately. My OMG face before we even got into the "ride" part of Rise of the Resistance. My review of Rise of the Resistance (no spoilers) in case you missed it the other day After our experience on Rise of the Resistance, we needed to decompress at Lamplight. And check out some Lunar New Year treats Let's go try some food!!
Firecracker Three Cup Chicken Wings (my favorite thing we tried) We had reservations to experience Oga's Cantina for the first time, so we headed back over to Disneyland and stopped at one of our all time favorite attractions. It's still great, even after all these years. Back in Galaxy's Edge, Kylo Ren is looking for somebody. I still can't get over how amazing it is to see the Millennium Falcon just sitting there. Time for the Cantina!! Took some video of our experience This is such a cool touch The Jet Juice She may not look like much, but she's got it where it counts, kid. Fuzzy Tauntaun It was tingly for sure T-16 Skyhopper Definitely unique, not sure we'd get it again. Not to be used for shooting Womprats. As we had been up since the early morning hours (1:30am for me for some stupid reason), we decided to do one last attraction and head out. And we decided on It's a Small World. Sunset over Matterhorn We had to pick up a popcorn/fries bucket for a friend And I had to do my best Flavor Flave impression I will say, my one disappointment is the lack of Rise of the Resistance merchandise. I don't care for the regular shirt, at all (and it had a HUGE head hole). I did like the Passholder design with the logo, but honestly, I don't want the Passholder there. Need just a plain black shirt with the Rise of the Resistance logo on it. That's it. Hopefully those are coming soon. We said goodnight to Walt and Mickey and headed home. It was a great night, and we're already making plans on heading back soon. Now that we've used our Flex Pass 3 times I think we've got a pretty good handle on it, and we'll be doing a review of that particular pass soon. So stay tuned for that!! Related Videos
