Universal Studios Hollywood Update - Universal Monsters Merchandise, HHN and Construction Updates6/13/2023
Last weekend we headed back to Universal Studios Hollywood for a day of fun, ended up spending about 7 hours in the park and had a fantastic time! We've got lots of great stuff to show you including some new Universal Monsters Merchandise, HHN progress and of course some construction updates on the upper lot. Enjoy!!  Welcome to Universal Studios Hollywood!  More pride merchandise has been added to the main store in the park.
 I needed a hat, so grabbed this one. Which was our discovery that there is a lot of new Universal Monsters merchandise now available!  Frankenstein  The Mummy. No 1999 Mummy stuff though. I think they should add that.  The Creature  I didn't get pics of the back of all the shirts.  Mugs and, are these stuffed animals? Do they have a name?   The Wolf Man. The TM's in the store mentioned a Wolf Man hat is coming soon.   I actually like that they have different color shirts.    Bride of Frankenstein hat  Frankenstein's monster. I get from a marketing perspective it's easier to just put Frankenstein on it.   Frankenstein snap-back and bucket hat.  Absolutely love this  Okay, let's move over to HHN Construction. Not much visible change here.   Hoping we'll get some kind of announcement soon.  Work is going on at the ex Special Effects Show building. Weird place to start, but they know what they're doing more than we do. =)   If I had to guess, some of the façade of the building will be staying.   The house behind the mummy is getting some more work done.   We're about 92.33% sure this is a return of Holidayz in Hell.  A look at the façade from 2019.  There was an orthodontics party after park closing.  A nighttime tour gives some great looks of War of the Worlds   We'll leave you with a look at a lit up Hogwarts Related Videos

Last week when we were on our way back from Arctic Rescue Media Day at SeaWorld San Diego, we were kind of tired of sitting in traffic, so decided to make a quick stop at Universal Studios Hollywood to wait out the traffic and have some dinner at Toothsome. We hadn't actually eaten there since media night as it's been a hectic few months, so it was nice to be able to get a quick reservation and have a nice dinner. But before that, we headed into the park for the Studio Tour and a look at what's going on around the park. So let's start there!!  Welcome to Universal Studios Hollywood  We started on the Studio Tour, and a look at HHN progress. Nothing to see here.  The lower lot house where Killer Clowns was last year is taking shape.    Not sure what this is yet, hopefully we get some announcements soon.  For only the 2nd or 3rd time since the parks reopened, we got to tour the backlot. Sadly the reason is because of the WGA strike.  The house behind Mummy is also taking shape. It looks like this will be the entrance again this year.   It looks like Production Central is finally down for the count.  Merchandise was being removed from the store. In fact, the day after we were at the park, they started tearing apart the Animal Actors stage.  There have been rumors of a Universal Monsters Paris house, and Dracula happened to be out in the Paris Metro. Hmm.  And a Dracula poster out in front of the Baker Street Music Hall.  Out in CityWalk, a Jurassic Park store has opened in Production Central.   Not as fancy as the one in Orlando, so no awesome photo op.  But the merchandise is fantastic.    I think I need that yellow shirt.    As I mentioned, we ate at Toothsome for the first time since media night, it was quite yummy.     We were so full we didn't get dessert, next time. Related Videos
