Last night was the grand unveiling of the all new Jurassic World The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood. The stars and media were out in full force to cover the opening of this new attraction.
Let's check it out!!

Welcome to Jurassic World
It's a bit warm but we're ready for Jurassic World
The ride looks amazing after dark
A brief opening ceremony (be sure to check out the video of the opening celebration below)
And of course Fireworks!!
Blue was also out to greet people
Chris Hardwick and Blue coming to a prom near you
Enough of the heat, it's time to cool down!!
As we mentioned last night, videos and pictured don't do the additions to this ride justice. You have to see it in person.
Some fun B-Roll sent to us from the park. Everybody kept asking if we were going to live-stream riding last night, we were under strict instructions to not film on the ride (although some others were). We like the good relationship we have with the park. =)
Even though we only saw it at night, through the magic of email (from the park) we also have some daytime images. =)
The Aquarium scene was AMAZING
The special love I have for you, my Baby Blue
Got a chance to say hi to Colton Dunn from Superstore. Super nice guy.
Bryce Dallas Howard
Our old pal Yvette Nicole-Brown
We of course had to take a look at Isla Nu-Bar
We'll definitely be getting these on our next visit to the park
We also got a chance to check out the new menu at the Jurassic Cafe
We did try the Guava Glazed Pound Cake and the Tres Leches Cake. Both were fantastic.
There's also some great merchandise to add to your Jurassic collection
These things are super cute
You can also get some collectibles
You're my boy blue!!!
A behind the scenes shot from our buddy Matt. Glamorous no?
Thanks to Universal Hollywood for having us out. We had a great time!! Can't wait to get back to the park and ride some more!!
Today we have a quick look at the "now open for technical rehearsals" Jurassic Park the ride.
Media Night isn't for another 12 days but we're glad to show off some pics of the ride courtesy of Andros.

Welcome to Jurassic World!
Only a 10 minute wait for Platinum passes. Otherwise, it's an insane 180 minute wait!
Ahh, so good to have you back!!
The new indoor portion of the ride
The ride has been getting pretty rave reviews so far
Still some things left from "Park", which is great!!
Could you always see the top of the show building when it was Jurassic Park: The Ride?
Anybody catch any other park references yet?
That's not good
Definitely not good
Oh, we should be safe in here!!
Danger, Danger, Danger!!
Welp, that's our preview. We will be at media night on the 22nd, we'll definitely remind you before then. Hoping we will be able to get some POV's, etc to share. We've been avoiding them pretty well so far.
Thanks for reading!! Have a great Thursday!!
It's been a few weeks since our last Universal Studios Hollywood update, and if the progress of work going on around the park is any indication, we're going to have to start doing more of them.
The park is starting to remind us of 2015 when the entire upper lot was being worked on for Springfield and Wizarding World. But this time there are three major projects happening on the upper and lower lot. Let's take a look!!

Our first stop most days is of course Wizarding World. We got into the park right at opening and had about a 15 minute wait for Forbidden Journey.
Usually we just do single rider, but sometimes we go for the full experience.
It was a perfect day at the park, didn't get too busy until about 1 or 2 (as we were leaving).
We of course had to get some Butterbeer. What's your favorite kind?
Most of the people in our group hadn't done Kung Fu Panda yet, so we had to give that a visit. Really enjoy it.
Now that Lunar New Year is over they are doing some work in Universal Plaza. Not sure if it's just general refurbishment or if they're doing something for the next event.
Let's first take a look at "Unannounced Project #1" (or is this Unannounced Project #2). We have a hard time keeping track. =)
The pictures seen from the upper lot don't do the size of this area justice.
But on the lower lot, you can get a feel for just how big this addition is.
There is actually more room here than you might think.
A crane on-site can only mean one thing ... vertical construction.
As you can see they are starting to go down before they go up.
One of the walls is already taller than the tram.
Jurassic World is really starting to take shape, you can see the T-Rex on the outside very clearly now.
The most interesting thing though is this new build down near the former maintenance pool. Not sure if this is an extension of the ride or they're just re-doing this part of the backstage area.
But as you can see, there is a LOT going on in this area.
Further on the tour, Jaws is getting some love.
Back on the upper lot, "Unannounced Project #2" is getting bigger with each visit.
Alright all, that's gonna wrap it up for this update. As you can see, many new exciting things are coming to the park. They didn't move all those soundstages for nothing.
As for when these projects will be "officially" announced, your guess is as good as ours. They just officially announced the new coaster in Florida, and that opens in less than 4 months. So even though we all pretty much know what the construction is for, we think it's more fun to keep calling them "Unannounced #1 and Unannounced #2" for the time being. Kind of like Thing 1 and Thing 2. =)
