It’s a Wrap for the Summer “Music Spotlight Series” this Labor Day Weekend as Universal CityWalk Celebrates with Hip-Hop Group Far East Movement then Acclaimed Dance Crew JabbaWockeeZ for World of Dance Night

What: Hip-hop group Far East Movement and World of Dance, featuring wildly-popular dance crew JabbaWockeeZ, celebrate the final weekend of Universal CityWalk’s free summer “Music Spotlight Series” at the “5 Towers” stage on Thursday, August 28 and Saturday, August 30.
Picture

Hogsmeade takes shape as Universal Hollywood prepares for HHN

Picture
It's been awhile since our last visit to Universal Studios Hollywood so we've got a pretty big update for you today.

Hogsmeade has really taken shape since our last visit, walls are starting to be built at Forbidden Journey and of course we have some Halloween Horror Nights construction pictures. We'll also say goodbye to House of Horrors which closes forever on September 1st (other than for Face Off for HHN).

Springsmeade

First we'll take a look at the upper lot construction area of Hogsmeade and Springfield.
Picture
Pointy roofs are starting to really show up all over the place.

Forbidden Journey

Work also is continuing on Forbidden Journey. Walls are taking shape and soon there won't be much to see of the actual ride. It's still amazing that Hogwarts is still going to be on top of this massive building.

Still lots of work to do between the area where Hogsmeade is and where the attraction is. The pedestrian bridge that connected the Waterworld area with the old Universal Amphitheater was also removed recently.

Fast and Furious: Supercharged

The tram route has moved again and now goes right next to the 2015 attraction "Fast and Furious: Supercharged'. You can see just how massive this building is.

Halloween Horror Nights

We'll take a look at HHN construction, we've got an update on all of the mazes currently in progress.

Dracula Untold "Reign of Blood" will be located on the upper lot between Mel's and Despicable Me.

Clowns 3D *Music By Slash* will be located behind Mummy. Not really much to be seen here.

The most anticipated maze (for us) "An American Werewolf In London" will be located behind Jurassic Park

House of Horrors

As previously reported, House of Horrors will be closing on September 1.

House of Horrors will be returning as "Face Off" for Halloween Horror Nights and then will not be returning. We have no idea what will be replacing it at this time but indications are that at least the lobby may be a retail location for Harry Potter (for now).

Around The Park

Just a couple of very quick notes from the rest of the park. A look at the parks production schedule for Friday Aug, 22.
Picture
They are preparing to shoot the Halloween episode of the show "About a Boy" ... and they REALLY need to stop with the Desperate Housewives talk on the tram. It's over!!

Love when the New York Street residents are out

Don't move ... don't even blink. =)
Picture
Last and most certainly not least, The Jon Lovitz Comedy Club had a tribute for the great Robin Williams up on their marquee. RIP.
