![]() This week we have a rare update from Universal Orlando Resort where Renée was kind enough to send us a few pictures as well as live tweeting our visits. Below some Kongstruction, HHN 25 pics as well as Renée saying goodbye to Beetlejuice and Disaster. Kongstruction on Skull Island at Universal Orlando's Islands of Adventure. Checking out some of the theming going up around Universal Studios in Orlando for Halloween Horror Nights They're still banned at all Disney parks, but selfie sticks are still fair game at the Universal parks. Paid our final respects to Beetlejuice and Disaster at Universal Orlando tonight. Looking forward to Fast & Furious! Sad Renée ... =( Thanks again for the update Renée. It's much appreciated. For more info on HHN Orlando click the link. ![]() Today we have a new update from Universal Studios Hollywood chock-full of great pictures of Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Halloween Horror Nights prep and more. The park is getting ready for lots of new stuff coming up for Halloween and the eventual opening of Wizarding World which is fast approaching. We'll start off as always with Wizarding World of Harry Potter The facade for Hogwarts Express is now at the entrance of Hogsmeade. This is NOT the actual Hogwarts express, this is just the locomotive decoration. The Hogwarts Express will come at a later time ... supposedly. =) Hogwarts ... it looks to be almost done as the scaffolding continues to be less and less. No word on if Hippogriff is testing yet A close up ... The greenhouse portion of the queue seems to be one of the last parts that needs to be completed. Not sure what's going on over here, I guess we'll see soon. Moving onto Halloween Horror Nights ... Tickets are now on sale, check out all the details here. Below, the facade for Halloween is coming along nicely. Soon this will be the Myers house. Down on the lower lot, Insidious is also coming along and it's facade looks to be close to being done. The Walking Dead looks pretty large and will be in the former location of Stage 28 A birds eye view from the Starway HHN walls down in the new york sets ready to be installed somewhere Assuming Alien vs Predator will be in the same location as last year, Stage 747 Crimson Peak is also down on the New York sets Moving onto the Terror Tram which will be themed to The Purge (with no auctioneer we're guessing) Walls ready to go up This Is The End maze is also coming along, no real set elements are visible yet. At the front of the park the new retail/dining location is coming along. Hopefully the tables/vending carts on the opposite side of this will be moved once this opens as it creates a terrible bottleneck in the park. And lastly, the new parking structure is getting close to completion and should be topped off soon. That's going to wrap it up for this update. Be sure to keep checking back as we'll have our planning guide for Halloween Horror Nights up soon. It looks like there are some changes this year so we'll have to modify our guide from last year quite a bit. Thanks for reading, hope you all enjoyed the update. Let the Terror Begin! This year’s line-up includes: All-New Mazes and Show:
Scare Zones: · “The Purge: Urban Nightmare,” inspired by Universal Pictures’ disturbing blockbuster films, will greet guests with pure unadulterated fear, bringing to life the turmoil and pandemonium that awaits those vulnerable to masked vigilantes in search of new victims during the government’s annually sanctioned killing spree. · “Exterminatorz” introduces hideous hybrid creatures—part pests, part human—spawned from years of dangerous chemicals recklessly dumped down the drains by irresponsible humans. These now persecuted pests arise from the cesspools to turn the tables and retaliate on their human oppressors. · “Corpz” features an army of decaying World War I soldiers known as “The Lost Generation,” who have risen from their dank, muddy graves to haunt the streets of old Paris. · Krampus, the demonic Christmas Devil, returns in “Dark Christmas,” a Pagan-themed scare zone where demonic creatures hunt disobedient children and drag them to hell. As a complement to the nighttime event, Universal’s most popular rides and attractions will also be open to guests. To learn more about “Halloween Horror Nights,” click here.
