We've got a very special update for you today! We're going to take a look back on Super Nintendo World Construction from our first ever Construction Picture in December 2018, all the way through media night on February 15, 2023. We've got a video below and pictures if you prefer that. We really hope you enjoy this look back on the creation of Super Nintendo World.  December 4, 2018 - Our first shot of actual construction other than sound stage removal.  February 9, 2019 - You can already start to see the shape of the land as we know it today.     February 25, 2019 - A view you will never see again!        September 19, 2019 - A pretty large gap between updates, but you can see a lot of progress!        November 4, 2019 - For some reason we stayed up top, but really like the lighting in these pics. I think it was HHN closing night?   November 17, 2019 - Just a few weeks later we found ourselves back at Super Nintendo World!     January 29, 2020 - These were actually taken the same day as the Kobe Bryan helicopter crash, you can see just how foggy it was that day.     This is where Mario Kart is today!          February 20, 2020 - We were at the park for a Secret Life of Pets tour that day, that we didn't even end up running until a year later, because of ... something. =)  By the time we see this view again, all of the Mario Kart building will be closed in.      March 20, 2021 - A full 13 months later, we attended the food festival event at the park and were able to see the amazing progress on Super Nintendo World.     May 24, 2021 - The park is now open and we're able to get down to the lower lot!       July 20, 2021 - You can start to see the rest of the land emerging in front of the Mario Kart show building.     Glorious sightline =)   August 24, 2021 - You can really start to see Mount Beanpole and Bowsers Castle taking shape.   November 2, 2021 - the outsides of Mount Beanpole and more of Super Nintendo World are coming into shape.         November 21, 2021 - More walls ready to go into place!       January 7, 2022 - 364 days from our Super Nintendo World Tour, the land looked like this!     April 29, 2022 - We're really starting to see more themed elements, and the outside animatronics!        June 24, 2022 - We now have an "early 2023 opening date!!          August 24, 2022 - Even more themed elements are added, and this may have been the first update we saw movement from some of the animatronics.      October 30, 2022 - On our last visit of HHN 2022 we got to see the Super Nintendo World sign!!   November 7, 2022 - Just a mere 2 months from our first time in the land, you can see the amount of work to be done.       January 6, 2023 - We were honored to be included in a tour of Super Nintendo World! This was just about 5 days prior to Technical Rehearsals.      January 16, 2023 - Our first Technical Rehearsal for Super Nintendo World!     February 15, 2023 - It was finally here! Super Nintendo Media Night and Grand Opening! Last week we were invited out to Universal Studios Hollywood for a behind the scenes tour of Super Nintendo World! Before we get into the update, a huge thanks to Universal Studios Hollywood for having us out for the tour. It's never lost on us how privileged we are to be included in such things. Also, we will mention that there is still some work to be done in the land, so we've had to crop out certain things from the pictures and video below, so keep that in mind as you view both. On that same note, we do not know right now when Technical Rehearsals may begin, but as soon as we hear anything we will let you know! Let's head in for a look at Super Nintendo World! We'll start off with some pics that the park sent to us, all of these are credit to Hamilton Pytluk at Universal Studios Hollywood Be sure to check out our thoughts on the tour along with some video from within Super Nintendo World!  Welcome to Super Nintendo World  The amount of detail and kinetic energy within the land is amazing, and just what you want from a Nintendo themed area.   There is movement EVERYWHERE!  And so many little touches that even casual fans of Nintendo will love.   For those that are huge fans, there are Easter Eggs and tributes to characters everywhere!   One of the amazingly unique things about the land is that it's multi-level. It's so great to be able to look at the land from many different angles.  If you're on a peak, there is of course going to be snow. =)    We got to take a look at Toadstool Café, but did not get to eat. It's much larger than it looks!
 Everything looks delicious and we can't wait to check it all out.     We also go to take a tour of Mario Kart Bowser's Challenge (but did not get to experience the attraction)
 The queue has SO MUCH detail and even though there will be Express and VIP Experience, we do suggest waiting in the queue to see it all.   Bowser welcomes you to his challenge!  Plans for the airship! Incredible!
 There are so many hidden touches in Bowser's Library, we didn't see them all and we can't wait to!

 And of course, each character has their race outfit!
 We also got a look inside the 1-Up Factory!  It looks fantastic! The merchandise inside seemed to match what is available outside of Super Nintendo World, but we're hoping for some land-specific merchandise you can only get here.
We are very excited for Super Nintendo World, if you couldn't tell. The land is amazing and you're all going to love it! We can't wait for Technical Rehearsals, Passholder Previews, Media Day and of course opening day. We're going to have a lot of Super Nintendo Coverage over the next month or two, so buckle up!! We also took some time to get an update outside of Super Nintendo World too!
The Animal Actors and Special Effects show both had their final shows yesterday (January 8th). While it's sad to see these two classic shows retired, we're excited to see what's next for this ever-evolving park.  We were able to confirm that Production Central will close this upcoming weekend.  As the park prepares for Super Nintendo World, they are updating a few things, including the sign for Revenge of the Mummy on the lower lot.  Also opening soon, Toothsome Chocolate Emporium!  No date yet, but it will most likely be pretty soon! 
 It looks absolutely fantastic and we can't wait for chocolate'y treats!   Related Videos

It's good to have friends!! Working at home on this Friday afternoon but always like to see friends out having a good time. My good friend John happened to be at Universal Studios Hollywood and when asked if he'd mind getting some pics of the new Super Nintendo World store he sent all of these awesome pics within 15 minutes. So I hope you all enjoy!! Pics by John Orr  The Feature Presentation Store at Universal Studios Hollywood now features Super Nintendo World!!  Let's head in shall we!  The team members having fun, probably a LOT of Bloggers/Vloggers visiting them today.  Even the registers are themed!  At least one new shirt design here!  Lots of awesome coffee mugs!  I think I need that Super Mario Bros. mug.  Heat Activated/Changing! (sorry for the annoying big watermark on a few of these pics, not sure what happened)  More Coffee Mugs!   A few display cases highlighting some pretty cool stuff   That's a lot of gold coins  Digging that Super Nintendo World Shirt! Looks like it comes in long sleeve and short sleeve.
