Happy Labor Day everybody and welcome to a quick update from Universal Studios Hollywood. This will be our final update from the park before Halloween Horror Nights begins this Thursday. We will of course be there for opening night!
In this update we've got lots of HHN Merchandise to show you, we'll talk about the house locations a bit and take a quick look at Fast and Furious. We're going old school with this one. Just a blog update, no video this week. Enjoy!

The entrance for both will be near Jurassic World. Still curious how they're going to get people to the Wyatt Sicks house from here.

Fast and Furious Hollywood Drift
Lastly, let's take a look at Fast and Furious. Some of the walls have been removed. Guessing more will be down by Thursday.
Guessing the restrooms and possibly the gift shop will be open soon as well.
Still not too much activity on the scream shields over the starway.
Although some of the supports have gone up. Alright, that's gonna wrap it up for this update. We'll see you in the fog on Thursday night!

 Welcome to an all new update from Universal Studios Hollywood. In this update we've got a lot of HHN and Fast and Furious for you. Also included is some Mega Movie Summer fun and a look at some killer new merchandise that is now available!
 I think I've seen these before, but love them.  I think this is a robe? For those casual scary movie nights at home? =)  Absolutely LOVE this. Some of the same merchandise was unveiled for the HHN Vegas site today as well.
 For those who are into this ...
 Was VERY close to getting this one  Hanging out with Marty and Einstein. Einstein looks thrilled to see me.  Super excited for Monstruos 3.0  Oh, you want to see some Fast and Furious? Here you go!  Supports for the Sound Walls. Sound Tunnels? Sound Abatement? Sound Blockers?  The pull-through has made it past the mid-course brake  Despite the covering on it, this is definitely the Dodge Charger ride vehicle   The biggest thing they still have to do is the covering for this section over the Starway  And this section at the bottom of the hill    The sound walls are HUGE. I don't think they'll go any higher than this though.   Looks like they are testing designs for the outside of the wall. I think movie posters could be cool. Or a blue screen.  The hillside project looks to be nearing completion. They did this SUPER quick.  This will provide some much needed extra queue space for the Jason house, and is rumored to become a permanent structure for future Halloween Horror Nights/Universal FanFest Nights events. Can't imagine they'll have time to get it done for this years HHN.  Can't wait to get pics/video of Fast and Furious from this spot   We don't usually like to speculate on what's coming to HHN, but this is pretty obvious at this point. Although, we don't know what Blumhouse properties are included.   I absolutely love that they keep updating the Hollywood sign. Hope it continues.  More Terror Tram construction  Looks like they might be setting up another RIP Tour exclusive room like they had last year.  NOPE was closed, not sure if for HHN or for filming.  Judging from all the activity going on in Falls Lake, I'm guessing filming. Although it'd be pretty cool to have this spot in use for HHN. =)  Out in CityWalk, the cookie place is still rumored to be opening before HHN  Not sure when Slice House is opening. However if you're looking for a great pizza, you can't go wrong with Vivo just down the road. We ate here before seeing Superman in IMAX the night we shot this update.  Johnny Rockets is now closed. I remember seeing signs that it was going to be a Korean BBQ place or something, but those are gone.  I don't think I ever ate at the Johnny Rockets.  The NBA Store is finally starting to get some work done on the outside.  Raising Cane's is progressing as well. This will definitely be a popular location once it opens.  And lastly, work is continuing on the new security area's here and outside of Jurassic Parking. Still wondering how they're going to do that. Related Videos

Today we've got an all new update from Universal Studios Hollywood and the latest look on the biggest California project for 2026 and the one that's moving, well, very fast and very furiously. I recently did a binge watch of all of the Fast and Furious films to try and get why they've now tried 3 times to get this franchise to stick in the parks. While I enjoyed the films more than I thought I would (they are stupid fun), I honestly still don't get what makes it worthy of being a theme park attraction. There are so many other franchises that could work here. But that doesn't mean I'm any less excited about the coaster itself. I fully believe that it's going to be the best coaster in California when it opens. And I have Twisted Colossus as my #3 coaster (out of almost 350). Let's head into the park and have some fun.  This building is HUGE. This is basically where the Animal Actors stage not really that long ago.  Iconic shot ...  Heading down the hill on the Studio Tour, so many twists and turns.    There will be some sound walls in this area, but there is still going to be so much of the coaster we are going see around the park.  The newest batch of supports.    Not sure what they are building there, it could be part of the queue, could be a show building, or storage/maintenance track. But there is nothing to connect to it.  So many twisties.   The backside of the attraction where we will see so much of the coaster in action.  I'm going to guess some kind of net will be added to this view to prevent people from dropping things in the coaster area. I'm always worried I'm going to drop my phone. =)  A new batch of merchandise to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of SNL.
    Church Lady and Turd Ferguson FTW.  FanFest nights are coming, we are ready (although we accidentally booked a long weekend in Orlando during the opening weekend ... oops).  Lots of changes are coming to CityWalk.  Lots of shops and restaurants are closing to make way for new things. Not sure what this is but will definitely check it out.  Both Popcornopolis and the Crepe place are gone.  Billabong will be closing soon as well. I think this shop is pretty close to an opening day establishment, or shortly after.  iFLY is also gone, but I didn't feel like walking all the way down there. =) Related Videos
