Last night we were invited out to Six Flags Magic Mountain to check out a preview of the All-American Food Festival that begins tomorrow (June 30th) and runs through July 4th.
We got to try out some delicious food, hang out with our other blogger friends, chat with the parks PR staff about a LOT of amazing things we totally can't tell you about (but trust us, you're gonna love it) and just have a nice mid-week break at the park.
Lots of video and pictures below to get enjoy!!!

Spicy Maple Tri Tip ... seriously everybody. Come eat food. This was so good.

Meatless Teriyaki Pineapple Slider ... not usually a fan of meatless stuff, this was really good.

Six Flags Magic Mountain Update - June 24, 2018

Picture
Today we've got another update from Six Flags Magic Mountain where we're looking at the final steps for getting CraZanity open to the public. The ride is pretty much done and was testing. All that appears to be left is some landscaping.
We also have our first signs of 2019 construction? Let's take a look!!

Written by Gregg Condon
Welcome to Six Flags Magic Mountain, it was "Bring a Friend Free" day which means it was busy, so bring your patience along with your buddy!!
Picture
We randomly went into the far left line and they were trying out Scanners for bags. Which means this line went WAY faster than the others. Let's hope this test is successful and they implement these at all entrances.
Picture
When I left the park, they had this open as well. Weird that there isn't a metal detector here though. If they are going to use this, they should at least have mobile ones they can use here.
Picture
Hi Tatsu and Revolution. The better ride out of you two is sadly still closed.
Picture
Full Throttle has a new sponsor ... because when I think extreme thrills I think Chicken I can't buy on Sunday's.
Picture
A pretty decent way to wake up
Picture

Let's get on with the Boardwalk update. First we have a full video update of CraZanity and the Boardwalk
The Boardwalk is looking great!! It looked like most of the games were open as well
Picture
All of the walls are down around CraZanity
Picture
Picture
LOTS of space here
Picture
Only thing left to do is some landscaping
Picture
Picture
Picture
Sadly we didn't see a full test while we were there, but they were testing when we were waiting to park. You can indeed see the ride from out there. It's really tall.
Picture
Scrambler is also back open and looks GREAT!!
Picture
Bumper Cars aren't quite ready for prime-time yet. I'd anticipate them opening with CraZanity.
Picture
We also checked out the new bathrooms but didn't take pics because that's hella creepy.

Moving on, is this our first construction update of the new for 2019 attraction? Maybe!!!
The long-rumored re-do of Cyclone Bay (please change the name) looks like it may be happening next year.
Picture
This area (and the area between Full Throttle and Goliath) is really the last of the area's to get a re-theme/re-do over the past 5 or 6 years. And it needs it badly.
Picture
We obviously have no idea what's coming but we'll find out in about 2 months when Six Flags announces all of their 2019 attractions.
Picture
Depending on what the theme is, we would fully anticipate Apocalypse getting another re-theme. Which would be totally fine with us.
Picture
Would imagine this area may be closed off after Fright Fest is over and hopefully Apocalypse will get some more re-tracking done during that time.
Picture
Lastly, some nice new shirts. Really am liking the merchandise the park is putting out recently.
Picture
Alright, that's gonna wrap it up. As soon as we get an opening date for CraZanity we'll let you know!!

It was Deaf and Hard of Hearing Awareness day.

The parking lot was PACKED, but the park didn't seem too busy. Bet the water park was.

Let's head over to the Boardwalk. Lots of work going on in this area, wish they'd bring the Tilt a Whirl back

They've also installed a nice shade structure which will be nice for riders and employees.
