In addition to our first Justice League tour we also got to check out the all new Aftermath 2 Chaos Rising that is coming to this years Fright Fest at Six Flags Magic Mountain. Be sure to check out all the great pictures and video from this amazing tour. Written by Gregg Condon Video of the tour including a bit of explanation of the new maze from the amazing designers The new maze is located near Apocalypse and is the biggest maze in Fright Fest history. Welcome to Ash Valley, who's population is probably a bit less than that now. =) Follow the Evacuation Route and you will be safe for sure Hmm, something isn't right here That doesn't look good Have you seen them? My twin So not only are there multiple paths through this maze (that are totally different) there's also a scare zone ... in the maze. When you've gotta go you've gotta go It's back!!! Wonder if Walter White know's what they've done to his camper David Wally explaining a bit about the maze ... you've gotta watch the video to hear more This maze has got a pretty high body count Heading to the Dock and safety ... maybe. They wouldn't tell us what the ending of the maze was. We'll have to find out on Saturday. Maze and Scare Zone location signs are up throughout the park The Suicide Squad scare zone is looking awesome Loved the way this picture came out This was just added yesterday, can't wait to see it all lit up Thanks to Mark, Pam and Scott for the amazing tour. Be sure to watch the video for more details on what is going to be in the Scare Zone We'll of course be back at Magic Mountain this Saturday for the kick off of Fright Fest, so be sure to follow us on our social media pages for live updates all night. Related Updates: Yesterday we were invited out to Six Flags Great America for the media day for the newest VR coaster. JoAnna was on hand for the festivities and for another in our string of awesome VR coaster Reverse POV's. (seriously, if you haven't seen Randy's POV of Dare Devil Dive and Matt and Gregg's POV of The New Revolution you really need to check them out. Written by Joanna Galayda Quick Review: It's fun. It makes Demon a completely different ride. However Demon is a short ride, so I wish it was a bit longer. Can't really do anything about that. I do wish the whole fighter pilot thing was not there. That maybe you're the Gargoyle wreaking havoc. Ted and I both agree that it may work with XFlight. Still it's a fun ride and I'll ride it again. We've got our credentials and are ready to head in ... Love that they give riders the option of VR and Non-VR. We'll be back at the park this weekend so we'll be able to see how they actually have this set up. We've got 2 video's from the event, one with me and Ted with some amazing commentary (it was our first ride on the VR so we had NO idea what to expect) And some awesome B-Roll that may or may not contain a bonus coaster in there. =) Just like some of the other VR coasters, you start in a hangar But that's where the similarities end, not only are you attacked by Gargoyles, but you actually get to shoot throughout the entire ride. That's gonna hurt in the morning Shoot Her!!! Shoot Her!!! As you can see, the Gargoyle's have kind of destroyed the city Missile through the gut So what do you all think? Is this a good addition to the Six Flags VR lineup? Are you excited for this version of the VR coaster coming to other Six Flags parks for Fright Fest this year? Let us know in the comments below. We'll be back at the park this weekend and will have more pics and fun. Related Updates: Below is our collection of Mountain Madness 2.0 pictures. We apologize in advance for the delay in these, so we hope you enjoy them. Before we get to the pictures we want to send a huge heartfelt thank you to everybody who attended. The day started out kind of rough (more on that below) but I think by the end of the day everybody had an amazing time and for that we are thankful. So quick story about the morning. We had set up reverse POV's on Revolution which actually turned out AWESOME (you can look at an example of that here) and then were starting our morning ERT. Everybody had the option of using the VR or going without it. Those of us on the first train went out and had an amazing ride. Once the 2nd train left we pulled into the station and promptly got stopped half way through the station. And anybody who knows Revolution knows what that means. Safe to say we weren't very happy as we pride ourselves on giving an amazing event and we were a bit disappointed that the ride went down. Luckily everybody in attendance took it in stride and ended up having a great time. Hopefully we were able to hide our disappoint. The park did great and offered us all one front of the line pass for The New Revolution and one other front of the line pass for any other ride in the park. Luckily it wasn't a very busy day so we're pretty sure everybody got to ride everything they wanted. Thanks again to everybody who showed up. Below we're just going to share some pictures from the day, click on any of the pictures to see a larger version. First set is from "The Coaster Whisperer The rest are of course from our own awesome CoasterMatt Thanks again to all who attended. We've already been asked about future events and right now we don't have anything in the works, that could change but there likely won't be anything for the remainder of 2016. Next week we'll have an all new feature video "Coaster Reviews with Gregg" where we'll be talking about Twisted Colossus at Magic Mountain and The Joker at Discovery Kingdom and why it's not so easy to compare them. Stay tuned for that. =) Related Updates: |
