Looney Tunes Land to Debut at Six Flags Magic Mountain by Summer 2026

Complete reimagining of the park’s family area will offer a brand-new experience
that encourages exploration across four distinct areas
with loveable Looney Tunes™ characters at the heart of it all
Picture
LOS ANGELES – Dec. 16, 2025 – Six Flags Magic Mountain is excited to announce major changes to its kids area, which will be reimagined as Looney Tunes™ Land, a brand-new park with travel at the heart of it and with loveable Looney Tunes characters to be found throughout, debuting summer 2026. This family-friendly area will be refreshed to evoke the warm, nostalgic feelings of the Chuck Jones era of Looney Tunes, featuring four distinct areas inspired by beloved classic characters. At the heart of the new Looney Tunes Land lies a cozy central park, where Bugs Bunny welcomes guests into his home. In the other three areas, visitors will traverse the New Mexico desert in pursuit of the Road Runner with Wile E. Coyote, explore lush tropics alongside Taz and take in the High Sierra with Daffy Duck at the helm.
Picture
TAZ-MANIA
Welcome to TAZ-mania! Guests will immerse themselves in a vibrant tropical landscape, but be on the lookout for the chaotic Taz, who has clearly left his mark. This area will feature an updated Whistlestop Train rethemed as Taz’s Tasmanian Train Tours, where guests can hop aboard the Tasmanian Express for a colorful and lively tour through the island’s wilderness. Be warned, though; the mischievous Tasmanian Devil himself has escaped his enclosure and is set to wreak havoc along the way. Meanwhile, the all-new Taz’s Exploration Trail (which replaces Magic Flyer and Tweety’s Escape locations) is where guests will explore the Tasmania Trail and go on a treasure hunt. This area will also add new seating and turf to the region.
ROAD RUNNER RIDGE
In the New Mexico-inspired area, Wile E. Coyote will embark across the breathtaking badlands on his relentless quest to capture the elusive Road Runner. Of course, everyone will need to keep an eye out for ACME traps cleverly hidden among the captivating rock formations and desert terrain. Guests will be further transported into this coyote’s world with the iconic painted tunnel. Just like in the cartoons, there will be laughs and unexpected twists for all while navigating through this thrilling zone.
BUGS BUNNY PLAY PARK
Bugs Bunny Play Park will be dedicated to the charismatic character that unites everyone and will be focused on frolicking fun. The area will replace Speedy Gonzalez Hot Rods and Pepe Le Pew’s Tea Party) and will feature thematic free play and exploration zones. A fan favorite, Merrie Melodies Merrie-Go-Round will be refurbished to match the rest of the park and will sport a vibrant color scheme and new marquee sign celebrating the adventurous spirit of the new area. Wascal’s, the area’s restaurant, will undergo a refresh, including a retheming of the scenic buildings and the addition of picnic tables to give guests a feel of dining at a civic park. Lastly, Wascal’s backside facade will include a new Granny’s House with an explorable interior with 2D elements.
CAMP DUCK AMUCK
It is never duck season in Daffy Duck’s territory! In the new and scenic High Sierra-inspired zone, Daffy calls the shots and here Taz’s Trucking Company will become Daffy’s Forest Four-Wheelers, where forest ranger Daffy Duck will invite young junior rangers to hop aboard their own jeeps and join him on patrol. Along the trail, fun and humorous character scenes, alongside informative signage, will emphasize the importance of conservation and safety while enjoying nature. Furthermore, the Looney Tunes Lodge will be renewed to resemble a cabin found in the High Sierra mountains and will receive all-new, wood-look foam flooring with an exaggerated wood grain.
“The new Looney Tunes Land will be a continuation of our mutually successful partnership with Warner Bros. that began more than 40 years ago and will continue to celebrate the characters of their beloved franchise,” said Raffi Kaprelyan, SVP and West Coast regional general manager for Six Flags. “We are counting down the days until we can invite families to experience the whimsy and fun of Looney Tunes in a way that is more immersive and exciting than ever before!”

Both Looney Tunes and each area’s theme will inform the narrative storytelling throughout. Each area will have its own color palette, fauna, landscaping, graphics, hardscaping (complete with character footprints in the concrete), railings, signage and more distinct experiences in each area.

The transformation of the family area into Looney Tunes Land is set to begin early January 2026 following the Holiday in the Park seasonal event. The process will be done in three phases with access to areas not undergoing construction open for amusement. Additional attraction enhancements and name changes will be shared ahead of opening. The introduction of Looney Tunes Land will coincide with the park’s 55th anniversary and is the second project in a multi-year focus on the park, which kicked off with the complete refurbishment and improvement of Hurricane Harbor Los Angeles in 2025.

2026 Season Pass Comparison: Knott's Berry Farm vs Six Flags Magic Mountain

Hey everybody! We took a break from breaking down 2026 Six Flags Passes for a few days because, quite frankly, it was giving us a headache. But we're back to hopefully try and make some sense of all this, and hopefully give you the best option for your passes.

For this update we're only going to look at the difference between Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain. If we tried to do this for every park we wouldn't even finish before the pass sale ends.
Picture
If you want a straight breakdown of prices only for every park, you can check that out here.

We attempted to break down various options. This is obviously not exhaustive, but hopefully it's close enough. Trying to spare you all a 90 minute video breakdown and a short novel. Hopefully we succeeded.
Picture
Here is a breakdown of EVERY option for both Knott's Berry Farm and Six Flags Magic Mountain. From park specific passes to the Gold/Platinum Pass/Membership and every conceivable add-on that you could possibly want. Down below we'll start giving you options that make sense.

There is one option that makes zero sense. We'll get there.

We have heard from more than once source that you can add a 2026 Knott's Scary Farm pass to your Magic Mountain Gold/Prestige pass after purchase. But we have not been able to 100% confirm. If you have done this, please let us know.

Prestige Pass vs Prestige Pass

Picture
If you are getting a Prestige pass it comes down to wanting Bring a Friend Tickets for Knott's Berry Farm or Magic Mountain. You also save $70 by getting the pass at Magic Mountain.

Picture
Let's add in dining. This all comes down to which park you will be visiting more/will want to eat at more. Despite the price difference I think we'll give this one to Knott's Berry Farm considering the longer operating calendar and greater variety of food options.

Picture
When considering the All-Parks Dining it once again comes down to the bring a friend tickets for Knott's Berry Farm vs Magic Mountain and saving $70 at Magic Mountain.

Picture
Same Scenario when adding the Drink Plan if you want to save $70 get your pass at Magic Mountain.

Picture
Adding the All-Parks Dining and Drink Plan once again produces a similar scenario.

Picture
Next let's add in some fast lanes. In this scenario you are once again choosing a park preference for the 1-Park Fast Lane. Whichever one you will be visiting most. Also note that Knott's Berry Farm has more operating days than Six Flags Magic Mountain.

Picture
Adding the Dining Plan and Drink Plan back into the scenario along with the Fast Lane presents a similar result to what we've seen repeated above. The same $70 price difference comes into play.

Basically, if you will be using your two Bring a Friend tickets for Knott's Berry Farm in 2025 the $70 price difference probably makes sense.

Picture
And here we have the most expensive 2026 pass you can get for Six Flags. This pass includes EVERYTHING! Dining. Drinks. Fast Lane AND Scary Farm.

If you're paying this much Winner = Six Flags Corporation!

Gold Pass vs Gold Pass

Picture
Let's check out some Gold Passes. The most glaring addition you are going to see here vs the Prestige pass is the $90 fee to add Knott's Berry Farm parking to your Season pass.

The Knott's Gold Pass with Parking is only going to save you $35 over the Prestige pass which includes parking. If you want parking at Knott's you will also have to add it with a Gold Pass from any other park.

Picture
Similar scenarios when adding in the 1-Park Dining Plan. It comes down to which park you will be visiting/dining at more often. Remember that if you want parking at Knott's you'll have to add the $90 to your Six Flags Magic Mountain pass too.

Picture
The first pass that's kind of even across the board.
If you're adding in the $90 Gold Pass parking at Knott's Berry Farm the Magic Mountain Pass is only $10 less.

Picture
For our Gold Pass Fast Lane scenario the 1-park Fast Lane is significantly cheaper at Six Flags Magic Mountain, however adding the all-parks Fast Lane will only save you $20 if you are adding on the Gold Pass parking at Knott's Berry Farm.

Picture
We're now getting into scenarios where the Gold Pass makes less sense considering the $90 fee to add Gold Pass Parking at Knott's Berry Farm.

Knott's Prestige Pass with these options = $1452.99
Magic Mountain Prestige Pass with these options = $1382.99

Picture
Finally, a pass option that really doesn't make any sense. If you're paying this much for a pass you shouldn't even think about getting a Gold Pass. You should get Prestige. If you're doing payments note that the down payment for the Gold Pass with these options is actually MORE than the Prestige Pass with these options.

Knott's Prestige Pass with these options = $1607.99
(Knott's Prestige down payment with these options = $256.27)

Magic Mountain Prestige Pass with these options = $1382.99

Hopefully this helps you figure out what pass works best for you. In the end it really comes down to a few things and what is a priority to you.

Magic Mountain Advantages:
  • Saves Money
  • 2025 Bring a Friend for Legacy Six Flags Park
  • Free Gold Pass Parking for all parks (except Knott's Berry Farm)

Knott's Berry Farm Advantages:
  • More Operating Days
  • Variety of Food Options for Dining Pass
  • 2025 Bring a Friend for Legacy Cedar Fair Park

Six Flags Magic Mountain Update: July 22, 2025 - Fright Fest 2025! Project 2026?

Welcome to an all new update from Six Flags Magic Mountain. Our first since April. We had anticipated at least a little bit of progress on the rumored coaster for 2026, but honestly the site looks kind of abandoned at the moment. In fact, there is less construction equipment on site now than there was 3 months ago. Still, there's quite a bit to check out at the park including some prep for Fright Fest.

I've also got some thoughts on Ninja in the update video below, and it sadly isn't good.
Picture
Welcome to Six Flags Magic Mountain. No, this isn't May or June. This is the middle of July. And it's only 75 degrees. In Santa Clarita (technically the desert). Sadly, I think the weather is going to pay us back for this very mild summer just around the time Halloween Season starts.
Picture
A long overdue project, a new wall has been built between the walkway and Hurricane Harbor. It looks fantastic. However, just like Magic Mountain to take 2 steps forward and 1 step back. It would have been nice to see them repave the walkway while they were busy working over here.
Picture
The entry plaza is looking fantastic!
Picture
A hopeful good sign of things to come. Yes, trash cans can be a good sign. Love these throwbacks.
Picture
Rode Full Throttle for the first time in awhile (since it was actually open with the park)
Picture
They also have guests stand back from the gates now while the coaster launches. Probably a good thing. Also, I volunteer to come powerwash the station!

Project 2026?

Picture
Let's take a look at what is supposedly the site for the parks 2026 attraction.
Picture
Picture
Picture
Doesn't look like much going on at all.
Picture
To compare, here are some pics from April.
Picture
There was construction equipment visible in April that is now gone, or at least not visible.
Picture
Back to yesterday, just lots of dirt and stairs and seats. We'll continue to keep an eye on this spot, and of course if there is an announcement we will certainly be covering it.

Fright Fest 2025!

Picture
Now to something that's actually happening, it's getting close to Fright Fest time! The Facade for SAW is gone, and this doesn't look "Saw" like at all.
Picture
In fact, it looks almost like a Mansion. Hmm ...
Picture
It has been about 13 years since Willoughby's 2.0 was unveiled. Maybe a sequel is coming down here?
Picture
However, considering what a staple Willioughby's is at Fright Fest, not sure if I can see them doing it in a pop-up tent and not a more permanent structure.
Picture
Further back, Trick r' Treat is completely gone, and will likely not be returning. Unless it's going to another location. I can think of a few prime locations for it. =)
Picture
Picture
Some of the signage for Army of the Dead is still in The Underground, but when we rode Apocalypse in April it seemed they were removing some of the maze.
Picture
Nothing visible on Willoughby's yet. But it's still early.
Picture
Likewise, nothing going on with Sewer of Souls. Alright, that's going to wrap it up for this update. Hope you enjoyed and we hope to see you at Midsummer Scream in just a few weeks!
